When you get a beautiful new sod lawn, it kind of seems like magic, right? Especially if you’re not home during the installation.
It’s like some sod fairies showed up, waved a couple wands, and woo hoo — instant lawn!
Not exactly.
Everybody loves a good shortcut, right?
But it doesn’t always work out.
Like that peanut butter and jelly swirled together in one jar. That just seems wrong.
Same thing with installing pavers over concrete. It sure sounds easier than jackhammering out your existing concrete, right?
Unless you’re an otter, you’ll probably spend more time on your pool patio than actually in the pool.

You can do a lot better than that.
When you need a yard drainage contractor at your house, you usually know it.
Your socks are wet. Ducks are your new pets. The neighbor kids are trying to swim in your driveway.

Well, it isn’t.
Ask most any irrigation expert and you better have a pen and paper handy, plus a thermometer, a wind gauge, a calendar, a slide rule, and maybe your high school algebra book.

We admit it — we’re really picky about where we get our sod.
Unless you want to fill your yard with plastic plants (hmmm, there’s an idea) you’ll have some maintenance.
But some plants are happy with bare-bones care. Just make sure they don’t die of thirst, and they’ll happily show off pretty leaves and bright blooms while you spend your time relaxing instead of toiling in your yard.
